Malvern Hills
One of the things you notice when visiting the Malvern show is the hills that loom over the showground. We often wonder about visiting them and seeing what they are like. This Summer we managed to visit them during a quick break at the end of August.
Priddy Folk Festival 2016
Our annual trip to the top of the Mendip’s for what would be our 10th Priddy Folk Festival. It’s a well organized but nicely laid back event, and home to exceptionally good music and tasty cider.
Malvern Show 2016
An early start for the RHS Malvern Spring show. If you’ve never been, it’s a bit like Glastonbury Festival for gardeners but with better toilets.
London gallery trip
An early start in the dark to travel up to London on an school trip to support one of our special needs students. After what seemed to be a very long journey we left the coach onto the busy London streets. Our first port of call was Tate Modern for a very brief one hour visit.
“A-Wassailing”
It’s usually sub-zero cold or raining and muddy when the annual Wassail comes around. Fortunately the day was relatively mild if a little grey and overcast.
Christmas 2015
There was a surprising amount of things going on over this years Christmas. So much so that as well as being downtime from work it also felt like downtime from my camera.
Archaeological walk
One of the lesser known joys of the Priddy Folk festival is the guided archaeological walk. It looks at the local history of the area and comes highly recommended.
Arcadia Britannica
This new book has arrived and there is some enjoyable content within. Henry Bournes folklore portraits have been taken at festivals using a portable studio.
Lightroom Update
I noticed my phone was vibrating like crazy last night. It turned out to be a multitude of notifications announcing a long awaited update to Lightroom 5.
A shiny new apple
It’s time for a replacement and it’s either an iPod Nano or iPod Touch. The iPod Touch is £30 more than the Nano but is basically an iPhone without the phone bit. I
