Summer holiday break

We always go away on my partners birthday in August and this year we booked a two night stay in Bradford upon Avon. It’s not that far away at all but enough to be a decent break from Bristol. We stayed at a very quirky B&B which backed onto the Kennet and Avon canal.

After eating hearty breakfasts we would spent hours wandering around the area. The impressive 14th century Tithe Barn is a huge space and fairly dark inside. This presented a minor challenge to photograph being difficult to fit as much of it in as possible. We had the place to ourselves, as it was a hot day, and everyone else was outside soaking up the sunshine.

We also visited two different gardens, The Courts garden and Iford gardens. Both distinct and interesting to wander around in their own way.

We managed to pack a lot into our short break and had an excellent and relaxing time. Bradford upon Avon is a great pace for a short visit.
