Summer is here…

At last! The Summer holidays have finally and mercifully arrived. A handful of weeks with the promise of catching up with life, the absence of an alarm clock and a blessed relief from the classroom. As welcome as the holidays are it’s also been unbearably hot for what seems like an absolute eternity. And I don’t tend do unbearably hot very, er, bearably.

Much time during the day has been spent in the comfort of a cool, darkened room, then every evening, the same routine…the compulsory watering of the withered and parched garden. One evening I spotted these hollyhocks gently swaying in the evening sunlight. The only camera I had on me was my iPhone so I took a couple of shots with a watering can in my other hand. I think the quality is pretty good. I hope you do too!
