Wakehurst Gardens
I’ve finally managed to find the time and inclination to edit a batch of photographs taken a while ago. We visited RHS Wakehurst right at the end of August before I returned to work. We had an enjoyable day out. The weather and the gardens were excellent with so much to explore that we didn’t manage to see it all.
I managed to take plenty of photographs. It has taken an absolute age to go through them all and either edit or delete them. Much of the delay has been down to a large increase in my workload last term. Now, at last they are done.
I’m hopeful that next term should be slightly less fraught. In the meantime I’m enjoying a nice break during half-term.
We came across the modern looking Kew Gardens millennium seed bank while there. It has a collection of over 2.4 billion seeds from around the world and is worth a visit.
Autumn is most definitely here now and the transformation is well underway. It’s damp but mild and the day length is getting much shorter. Leaves are changing colour and the Sun is noticeably lower in the sky.
I hope you’re managing to get out and about, it’s well worth it to see autumn in all it’s glory.
