In the day, it rained

Bit of a surprise, as it wasn’t forecast, but it rained today! Well, saying it rained is quite possibly quite a bit of an exaggeration on my part. More the occasional intermittent light drizzle, with the emphasis on light. It’s nowhere near what we need after such a long, hot, dry spell but it was better than nothing. Bearing in mind that the UK has had the driest July in recorded history it will sadly make little impact.

Please remember, if you can, to put out a bowl of water for wildlife. Animals and insects are suffering from dehydration so it can be a life saver during this dry spell.

This is a reminder, as if we need one, of how climate change is affecting the place we call home.
